This is our first blog (of many), and we are excited to share a little more about Kesala and what makes us tick.
Kesala was founded in 2023 by me, shortly after moving to Florida. I know, I know, another transplant, but can you blame me with sunsets like these?
I had always loved Florida since escaping the frozen tundra of the Midwest and living in Tampa for a few years after college. I knew I wanted to eventually call this home permanently, and in 2023, that became a reality.
While amazing, the move back to Florida didn't exist without challenges and big questions. What did I want this next chapter of life to look like? Not just personally but professionally as well. I had been a classroom teacher for nearly a decade at this point, and while I loved many aspects of my job, I felt it was time to step away and pursue my entrepreneurial dreams.
That's how Kesala was born! I have always had a passion for fashion, sorry for the rhyme, specifically clothing and accessories that were easy to wear and style. What does "easy" mean to us at Kesala? As a consumer, I often felt I wanted help finding the right place to shop. I wanted to find clothing that met my everyday needs, clothing that was affordable, comfortable, unique, and trendy without trying too hard. Clothing that I would love to wear over and over again. I know I am not the only one who feels this way. That's why we carefully select the clothing and accessory options that we offer at Kesala. We want to make fashion as easy as possible for our customers, and we understand that trying a new, small business can feel risky. We want to assure you that we have free returns and free shipping on all orders, just another way we can make fashion easy for you!
